Cluedoo extends the notion of serial number from an inventory concept to a master data concept at a sub-level of the product variant.
You can track the life of each serial number, before (production), during exploitation (renting, maintenance, financial asset), at the end of product life (scrap, asset disposal).
This extension of serial number from inventory information to master data object implies integration of the serial number in several Odoo apps.

On Product Categories, we are able to set costing method by Lot/Serial Number.

We can use component with different lot/serial number. It will create stock moves for different lot, the valuation is separated as well based on the lot.
