ODOO BEHAVIOR

Odoo proposes from source document (sales order, stock ordering rule) a quantity to produce on the manufacturing order which is automatically confirmed. The production manager can update this quantity but cannot really decide according to the procurement and other information which quantity to produce is optimal. Moreover, the production manager cannot easily check the produced quantity vs quantity to produce.

The production manager makes the decision on the quantity to be produced, at each level of the production, ie manufacturing order or sub-manufacturing order.

MODULE+

On the production order, the production manager get the following information:

• Required quantity (from the source document, which can be the sales order or the stock reordering rule).
• Quantity on hand with details about unreserved quantity.

Based on these info, the production manager can decide the Quantity to produce.

If the qty to produce is less than the required quantity, it means that the difference will be reserved from the stock.

If the qty to produce is more than the required quantity, the source of the request gives the information about the required quantity.
