ODOO BEHAVIOR

Odoo proposed an advanced configurator to support the product variant selection but limit this feature to sales order.

CLUEDOO BEHAVIOR

Cluedoo extends the configurator to any kind of orders (manufacturing order, purchase order).

This module has 2 applications:

- The production manager can use the configurator to create manually a manufacturing order from the product template.

- In the case the route is MTO and the configurator is used on the sales order line, the related manufacturing order inheritates of all the selection done on the related sales order line.

Introduce Configurator as an engine which can be called on manufacturing order and also on any object in Odoo. 

CLUEDOO RECOMMENDATIONS

Useful for all the MTO database using product template - attribute - product variant.

It becomes a must once we combine it with advanced attribute management module like computed BOM quantity based on sales order line attribute: you gives the length of the product on your sales order line, and the BOM quantity of your components of manufacturing order is automatically computed based on this length.
