Odoo give back a hierarchy view in v13 but limit the use to the general ledger view.

CLUEDOO BEHAVIOR

Cluedoo adds the hierarchy view as generic, which can be activated on any view as a list or a form view. Then, you can have a structured hierarchy view on any field which has the notion of parent (and so notion of hierarchy).

MODULE+

By doing it generic, you can use it on the classic view - chart of account, chart of analytic account, product category structure with extra Cluedoo modules but you can also on any view you are interested in getting a hierarchy.

BUSINESS CASE

You are making sales for a group with several entities. Thanks to the hierarchy view applied on the customer + the module Parent Partner, you get the subtotal of your order for the group. Then, you can explode and get the details for each entity.

CLUEDOO RECOMMENDATION

Installation : 100% of the database.

Recommendation / Best practice : take the habit to never put any records on a parent, but organize your master data in order to record only on children. Then, when you call the hierarchy view, combine it with a filter on regular in order to get only the general tree.
